Villa Burba was born in 1665 as a house, to which were annexed a stable, a barn and a spinning wheel.
The villa has a typical Lombard architecture dating back to the 17th century; of particular importance are the late Baroque ornaments, the balconies, the gates, the wrought iron railings and the central hall.
After a long series of changes of ownership: in 1873 it was acquired by the Cornaggia Medici family and then, in 1966, the property passed to the Municipality which underwent a long restoration. It is currently used as a library seat.
